Was St Francis of Assisi a Buddha?

Was St Francis of Assisi a Buddha?

St Francis was indeed a buddha. Buddha simply means awake or enlightened, and as all mystics are enlightened beings they are all therefore buddhas. Buddha is only a word, mystic is only a word, St Francis was more than a word, he was the formless light who shone bright on all creation!

He loved all creation as he understood that all were emanations from the Supreme Being of the universe.

Be praised, my Lord, through all your creatures, especially through my lord Brother Sun, who brings the day; and you give light through him.
St Francis in his famous ‘Canticle of the Sun’

What you are looking for is where your looking from
St Francis
