John Winston Lennon was born October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. He was a British singer, musician and composer whose best known for being one of the founders of the rock-group The Beatles. As composer and singer, partly with The Beatles and partly as a solo artist, he is one of rock history’s most important figures. He was tragically murdered in 1980.
